Sometimes I wish this wasn't an 18-and-over blog (Okay, yeah, I know there are plenty of people younger than that reading it, but let's pretend). The video below is wonderful for anyone of any age - especially but not exclusively closeted LGBT's. It's funny and and hot and pretty damn dirty: a great combination. But since this is an 18-and-over blog, I can't specifically address this post to LGBT teens. I hope you'll help me share it, though. It really is awesome.

Paranoia city
Just a quick check-in, as my situation still isn't settled and I don't have consistent, proper internet access yet. Make of that what you will, and please don't ask me how I'm managing this post as it's rather weird and complicated. ;-P
Anyway, while I've been on hiatus I've seen lots of things I wanted to post, but didn't for various reasons. This is what finally brought me completely out of hiding: the tour visuals for Muse's performance of "Darkshines" at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals. Now, I try very hard (sometimes sitting on my hands!) not to rave too much about Muse here; after all, this is a fetish blog, not a music blog. But of course Muse is all about SF weirdness, paranoia and mind control; and this video has it all in spades. In fact, it even has a UFO trying to abduct a cow - and apparently failing because the cow is too heavy! Now, how can you say no to a video like that? ;-) Also, be sure to notice the x-ray of the disappearing brain, an underplayed but excellent metaphor for total MC.

hiatus due to grenade
Sorry, folks, but I've had a grenade tossed into my personal life. Well, actually I've had a series of grenades since last fall; but this was the big mama. It's going to take some time to adjust to. Kind thoughts and/or prayers would be appreciated.
I'll be fine in the end, but I need to take some time away from the blog so I can focus on real life. I will be back, because I enjoy this place - and I enjoy all your comments and e-mails. I just can't say how long it will take me to return. Hopefully, it won't be a really lengthy hiatus, so please watch this space.
