A litle help, please?

I've just received an email from someone who downloaded my Virtual Hypnotist "Grok Quickie" but can't get it to work properly, so I tried it again on my computer - and it won't work for me, either. My initial guess is that this is another Windows 7 glitch since "Grok Quickie" worked on my old machine, which had an older version of Windows.

Can anyone confirm my hunch - and more importantly, can anyone solve the problem? Feel free to use the comment section below this post or to email me, whichever makes you most comfortable. Thanks.

I might be able to give it a try on the new machine (windows 7), and comment back. I haven't used VH in a while.

PS: it gives me a chuckle to fill out the CAPTCHA to "prove I'm not a robot" and then sign as Fembotheather :p

Thanks, fembotheather. I know a lot of people (including me) would be thrilled to find a solution. Good luck!

And yes, that is pretty funny about the CAPTCHA. ;-P

Making another attempt with it, hopefully I can get VH to load this time. Win7 is good most of the time, but XP was likely the best thing they ever did.

Proving I'm not (really) a robot, now.

Okay, yes, VH seems different from what I remember (it's been a couple of years since I last used it) but it works, and so does Grok quickie :)

It may work very well since I kinda felt drifty looking at it.

On another note, it made me smile to see the "hive drone" script among the installation presets, since the person who made that one was very special in my life. She would be happy to see it there, too. :)

So, yes, it appears to be working here. Could it be anything to do with when Win7 was updated last?

Hmm, weird. You were able to run the whole program, and you were able to see the words and not just the grok tunnel? I've just checked again with my computer, and nothing has changed. I see the tunnel but not the words. But I've noticed that I can see the words when I go to the "Hypnotic Visual Maker" section and preview the grok tunnel there.

I don't know if it has anything to do with Win7 updates or not, but FWIW, I have my version set to update automatically.

On that other note, I do like that hive drone script. :-) But I don't know who wrote it and now you have me wondering. Was it sara castle, perhaps?

Hmmm, I didn't view the whole session, but will fire it up again. It's quite possible that what's happening there is happening here.

I'll let you know.

The author of the drone program was "Tamed Shrew" on the archive, and was also my sister, who passed away a few years ago.

I'll let you know about VH, but I suspect you're correct in that it's Win7.

What I know about programming would not even fill a very small book.

Oh, I'm very sorry about your sister. I don't know what to say other than that I'm glad seeing her work on VH made you smile.
