Feedback received and decided upon

A couple of weeks ago I asked readers for feedback on three questions related to two stories I'm currently juggling (A question I'll have to ask myself soon is whether to keep juggling or just work on one till it's finished and then move to the other). I've had lots of input now, so here are the things I've decided.

Let's start with Transfixed Part 2. I said that while I'd originally planned to write it as a Choose Your Own Adventure, I was beginning to feel like I was in over my head. So I asked you all how you'd feel about getting a sequel that was an ordinary novelette instead. Nobody was displeased by that idea, and in fact, it sounds people just mainly wanted to get the book quickly. Well, that's what I want to give you, so we're in agreement. Transfixed 2 will be a novelette and not a CYOA.

Now on to the other story. First - and this relates to a post prior to the "feedback" post - I have an official tittle now. Thanks, Jock! It's going to be called The Power of Positive Slavery, and Jock will get a free copy for gifting me with the idea.

As for my questions about the story, this what I've decided based on the advice of people who know a hell of a lot more than I do:

1. The rare form of lighting will be an LED black light. That's a real light source that would damage human eyes in real life, but I'll handwave a filter that makes it safe.

2. The latex worn by the catsuited slaves will be lubed on both the inside and outside because that allows for maximum mobility and shine. It's also nice to know that latex doesn't get too hot too quickly. Really, folks, no matter what kind of kinky shit I write, the only latex I've ever worn were gloves! I'm glad some of you out there are bolder than I am!

Thanks, as always, to everyone who takes the time to comment. :-)

Do yourself a favor, and at least get yourself a zentai. No, it's not latex, but it's cheaper, and a start.

If you already have that, try some LONG gloves, as in, covering up past your elbow.

If that's interesting to you, artwithlatex is a great site. The work is amazing, it's not 'confining' in the least, and it's beautiful.

Off-Topic but have you ever considered writing a hermaphrodite/futanari story?

It might be unfamiliar but there was a concept story on a subforum a while back of a lesbian character given a penis by a Space horror or Lovecraftian god and mind controlled to convert her friends via sex and impregnating them to spawn a group of future cultists for the god's rebirth. The protagonist ends up being a high priestess of this cult and using her new "gift" to enslave and create a harem for her master.

To anonymous #1: I'd certainly like to try zentai, but it's not in the budget and I have no one to share the fun with. That's true for most things I'd enjoy, actually. ;-/ But thank goodness for the internet!

To anonymous #2: I think I've seen a clip from that on YouTube, and I did enjoy the look of the character under MC; but I'm just not into futanari. No disrespect to you or anyone else who is into it - it's just not my thing.

Guess I'll reply to both comments here.

Firstly, its a huge compliment/honour that a writer I look up to approves of something I came up, the free story is just the icing on the cake! I'm just glad I didn't have any competition.

With regards to what format I'd prefer, unfortunately I'm rather clueless as I tend to stick to paper when I buy writing. Which ones best for mobile viewing?

ETA on the story? And if you're looking for preview readers again, I'll be glad to offer what suggestions I can.

If Aislinne tickled your metaphorical pickle and you want to see more, as well as the F-List page, the owner of Aislinne also has a tumblr where they post the commisions (spookyshinysexy.tumblr.com) and there's a /d/ thread dedicated to this sort of symbiotey goodness going on right now, just search "latex".

I am genuinely shocked you haven't seen GiTS yet, it aligns with so much of what you've said you liked on this blog. If you're not busy, I'd urge you to watch it tonight. Its like $3 online or available for free all over the place. Just make sure to watch the 95 version and not the "2.0" cut, they Lucas'd it hard, and the dub is medicore-decent, so I'd suggest sub if they don't bother you.

I'm not a super expert on GiTS and I'll probably see the new film for the imagery but by all accounts its a very "hollywood" adaptation that complete ignores the point, themes and aesthetic of the 95 film and the whole series, merely wearing the gutted property as a skin mask over a generic, easy money, passable, matrix-esque action film. But I'm not too bothered by ScarJo being cast, I just wish she could've been the lead in an actual live action GiTS film... And those robo-geishas look frickin sweet.*

Is The Difference Engine vanilla or the good stuff because smooth blank and/or doll masks are one of my biggest turn ons that I see far too little of.

*A youtuber who really knows what hes talking about has a great video detailing where the new film goes wrong, but it spoils quite a few great scenes from the original, so I'll link it after you've had a chance to watch it.

P.S. Now that I've got an account, I'll probably be sharing stuff I think you and everyone else here will like. I'll just try not to set up my own mini blog in the comments here!

LOL, Jock, you practically did set up a mini-blog here! ;-) But that's fine. I like talking with fans. I'll try to answer your comments in order.

To read an e-book, you need an a-book reader; and since you don't know what format you need, that makes me wonder if you do have an e-book reader. If you do, and if it's a Kindle, you should ask for a .mobi file. For any other kind of reader, get an .epub file. If you don't have an e-book reader, either get one that's not a Kindle (so you'll have more flexibility) or else ask for a PDF.

I can't give you an ETA on the story because my mind doesn't work that way. All I can say is that I'm a slow writer. But if you want to be a be a reader, I'll be glad to give you early access whenever I finish the story.

I'd love to read and see all kinds of things like Aislinne and a bunch of online comics, and watch things like Ghost in the Shell and everything Hayao Miyazaki had anything to do with (Note: I do realize Miyazaki-san had nothing to do with GitS), and read hundreds of books and graphic novels I know I'd love. The problem is that I have to work a bit to make money to feed myself, and I also have to sleep. ;-/

I read The Difference Engine about 25 years ago, so I don't remember much about it; but it isn't erotica. The mannequin thing is just a grace note in one scene.

Thanks for offering the YouTube link, but YouTube videos are yet another thing I wish I had more time to to see. Every day I watch stuff from my "Watch Later" list and then add more videos to my "Watch Later" list, so I'm going to say no to your offer.

Ha, I'm a shut in who loves talking to people and a writer at heart who never really writes, so when I do put something down, I tend to have a lot of backlog to get out there.

A PDF would be great, I used to have an e-reader (a few from you were on there), but it croaked.

Isn't that our curse? We work hard to do the fun things, then can't do the fun things because we're working hard. I know you don't like to talk about your private life (hence the "private"), but if you're happy to answer, what keeps you busy other than writing?*

This part of the human condition has just given me some inspiration, how about a story centred around a cybernetic implant that eliminates the need for sleep and also enables the users to become more machine like, effecient and focused in their work over time? The catch of course being that the device really will make you into a machine. I feel like it has a lot of potential because the need for sleep is an integral part of humanity/the creative struggle, and in the exploration of that you could have something delicious like someone creative overjoyed at all the expression they can now put out effortlessly, never tiring, and then slowly creating less and less even though they're becoming more and more effective as they're gradually converted until the masterwork they started on when they first got the implant has morphed from something incredibly abstract and dripping with emotion to a cold diagram of a much improved version of their own headgear (for use on a side character as the finale) or additional upgrades to their own already much improved cool silver body....

*cough* Sorry, I got a bit distracted there, but mm, that image is juicy. Unfortunately I feel that it's been done to death, your lovely Serial Number strikes me, half remembered**, as running on similar themes, and I'm definitely picturing a story structure heavily influenced by Sub Routine.

I wish Miyazaki had something to do with GiTS, scifi from him would be legit.

*Speaking of you and writing, have you ever thought about retiring from EMC stories, or is it a case of "I started doing this, I'll finish doing this"?

**Guess it's time to go back and read it again, oh boy!

Sorry about the wall of words, I had more to say but I seem to have forgotten it somewhere in the middle of fantasising about my very own Silver Socket, have a good week!

Yes, Jock, I have your email now - as you know, since I just wrote you.

I'll send you a PDF version of the book once I finish it.

I had to stop reading your "idea for a story" paragraph as soon as I saw what it was. My policy is not to take ideas from other people; I like to generate my own. But if you really want to see that story written, then write it yourself! ;-)
